Abigail “Ms. Abi” MacArthur

Coach Abigail “Ms. Abi” MacArthur brings experience, heart and a passion for teaching to Spirit Gymnastics as the In-House Team coach. With 9 years of coaching experience, Abi has dedicated herself to helping young athletes grow both in gymnastics and as individuals.

Outside of the gym, Abi is a 3rd grade math teacher in Lakeland, where she continues to inspire and guide students every day. Her background as a competitive dancer gives her a strong foundation in technique, discipline and performance, which she has carried into her gymnastics coaching career.

Abi loves being part of the Spirit family and values the relationships she builds with her athletes. She finds the most joy in watching them grow, gain confidence and become well-rounded individuals.

Her favorite skill is the handstand, which she believes is the foundation of so many gymnastics skills and a true measure of strength and control.

Ms. Abi wants every athlete to know how much she cares about them and how proud she is of who they are becoming, both in their gymnastics journey and in life.
